Terry Ffyffe Paintings

This website is dedicated to the life, art, and legacy of Australian Artist Terry Fyffe (21 December 1952 – 20 July 2018)  his art, life, and career. Designed as a resource for artists, curators, collectors, students, and art enthusiasts, this site offers a comprehensive insight into his prolific career and extraordinary body of work.

Terry Fyffe, professionally known as Ffyffe, built a remarkable career over four decades, predominantly based in London. During this time he painted thousands of canvases that mostly found homes amongst collectors in his adopted UK.

When he passed away prematurely following a mystery illness in 2018 aged 65, he left behind a body of work in London that has been brought to Melbourne by his family. These include pieces from past exhibitions as well as many overtly religious pieces that were less commercially oriented. As his siblings, we are proud to share his story and artistic journey with you.

Terry’s work was driven by his love for creating, his desire to provoke thought, and his exploration of the human condition. Beginning in 1990, he adopted the name Ffyffe as his professional identity, signing his works with a distinctive double ‘F.’ His paintings reflect his mastery of various techniques and genres, serving as a visual journal of his personal and spiritual quest to align his faith with his vocation as a figurative artist.

This website is a tribute to Terry,  a way of sharing our love of Terry and his work with you. We hope that you find inspiration in his works, discover pieces that resonate with you and gain insight into the life of a unique and deeply passionate artist.

This is a living document, with plans to expand as more works are restored as well as stories and potential academic insight into the value of his artistic contribution.

Viewing of the work is available by arrangement in Melbourne, Australia.
